The right to get dirty

I just discovered this wonderful initiative of Piccolalory about children's rights. I would like to participate too. This week we talk about the right to get dirty,

" ... to play with sand, earth, grass, leaves, water, rocks , the twigs..

confess that sometimes makes me anxious to see that Martha gets his hands dirty in the ground, picks up cigarette butts or else ... but I try to control me, basically I know how beautiful it is also getting his hands dirty, experiment materials and other sensations. With us there is this culture, is a great shame.

As for the clothes ... this is hardly a problem for us. Do not buy expensive things, we are always quite sports, recycle whenever we can and if something gets ruined is not the end of the world.

Kittens paper mache

Last summer, on vacation, we were not able to participate in a cute paper mache workshop organized in a country where we were (there was no room ). Then, take a look and risbircia, we ventured home here kittens PAPIER made by me and Thomas. Samuel did not attend, he did not want ( oohhh .... is growing ). Here we are at work. We begin with strips of newspaper soaked in a solution of water and PVA glue:

Then with the paper (dry) we create the structure: a ball for the body

One for the head , which will be linked to the first with masking tape:

Finally paws and tail, which will be made of rolled up newspaper to make salcicciotti stretched, and then fastened with tape. On legs and tail of the wire is coiled to make the structure solid. At this stage I was so focused that I forgot to take pictures. Then you take the strips of paper soaked in glue and you get to play all the cat (it takes patience !).

... make the point? This summer was a further opportunity to bring Marta with all the media that we have: band ring, long range, self mei tai. The band ring now use it mainly when I have to accompany children to school by car: comfortable and very practical, because they are more than 20 minutes, then begins to weigh too much on one shoulder. During the vacation in the mountains I used it for a ride in mine:

Nella sua versatilità, la fascia ad anelli permette di "indossare" il bambino a prescindere dal suo abbigliamento. Si è anche addormentata, che volere di più? Durante le escursioni però ho trovato comoda la fascia lunga, specie in luoghi non troppo caldi. Ancora prediligiamo la posizione "pancia a pancia", il peso è ben distribuito, anche se ormai inizia a sentirsi e abbiamo dovuto portarla a turno.

In luoghi caldi invece il mei tai è andato alla grande.Ora che riesco a metterlo bene sulla schiena lo preferisco agli altri, occupa poco spazio e si indossa facilmente. Lo abbiamo utilizzato anche nella recente gita a Pompei, sia per l'escursione sul Vesuvio che for long walks to the excavations. In so many hours was comfortable and practical, are met. The photo is horrible, but I have almost no (l a machine is usually in my hands! )

I'm happy with my experience as a "carrier" with Martha and I hope to continue for much, although I realize that is beginning to be pesantuccia. It will mean that the cucirò then a mei tai for dolls and pass the baton;)
