I'll be back for two intensive days , over the weekend I accompanied Samuel to face his first race of Karate. Starting five in the morning ( gasp! ), arrival at Viadana before one, start bidding that went on all afternoon. At first I was skeptical, to get that far, after all, this is only the second year that practice this sport and, moreover, was also provided for a particular race, team, new this year for children for which there seemed ready. I must say that I had to change my mind. I really think it was a good experience for them, both grapple with the individual competition, for which we had our satisfaction: a fine second place.
But I was especially impressed by the race team, which consists of a series of "moves" to do together (the team is composed of three persons) in synchronized manner. I was surprised by the spirit of children in this thing, as they worked to the common goal, as they trained in complete independence before the race. In an individual sport so it's nice to see these moments show team spirit. There 's been better than I expected. I wanted to upload a short video, but it takes a lifetime to load, for now just put a picture of "our" team, were very good.
There were also black belts, their races were really beautiful to behold and very scenic, with a lot of timed jumps! Think that is a little known aspect of the discipline, we are used to consider only the fighting (in our gym begin only after 13 years ).
